API Authentication

Use API keys to authenticate public API requests. Create a key from Dashboard > Settings > API Keys.

Apps acting for a user, such as ChatGPT, use OAuth and the MCP endpoint instead of API keys.

Header authentication

curl -X POST "https://crateyard.com/api/v1/pixel-art/animate" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "X-API-Key: sk_live_your_key" \
  -d '{"prompt":"blue slime monster","preset":"slime-bounce"}'

Query parameter authentication

curl -X POST "https://crateyard.com/api/v1/pixel-art/animate?apiKey=sk_live_your_key" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"prompt":"blue slime monster","preset":"slime-bounce"}'
